The story behind the creation of the 5 senses experience
It all begins with an idea, a dream, and the belief that it can manifest as you continue to think about it and nurture it.
The 5 Senses retreat was born from my own journey of using awareness and the senses to bring myself back to the present moment, to quiet anxiety, and to break free from spiraling thoughts. The foundation of this retreat is rooted in my connection with nature, my education in somatic healing, nervous system regulation, and chronic pain studies. As I spent more time outdoors, I realized that when we engage all five senses, we have the power to slow down and truly be with what's in front of us or around us. This practice anchors us in the here and now, which is one of the most important and powerful gifts we can give ourselves and our loved ones.
The essence of this retreat is about integrating the five senses to create a holistic, healing experience. This process is transformative, and while you can experience it fully during the retreat, I also believe in empowering you to take these simple tools and weave them into your daily life. The nervous system is such a beautiful part of the healing journey, and the way we can work with it is simple. Which is such a beautiful reminder that in the simplicity of life, we reconnect with our truest agency. By slowing down, we can deepen our breath, connect with ourselves, and find joy in the present moment—whether we’re alone or with our loved ones.
