1:1 PRIVATE SESSIONS
I AM SO GLAD YOU LANDED HERE & I LOOK FORWARD TO THE POSSIBILITIES TO COME
My Approach
As a yoga therapist, my role is to walk alongside you on your unique healing journey, offering gentle guidance, compassionate support, and a safe, non-judgmental space for self-expression. I believe in creating an environment where you feel heard, seen, and fully supported as you explore your own path toward healing and transformation. My approach is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care, meaning I approach every session with an understanding of how trauma impacts not only the mind but also the body and nervous system. I honor your pace and your experience, creating a space where you can feel both safe and empowered to explore and process what is needed for your healing.
Over the years, I’ve devoted myself to the study of the nervous system, and I believe that understanding its complexities is a key foundation for healing on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. When we work together, I’ll guide you through practices that help you restore balance within your nervous system, which in turn can help reduce stress, alleviate anxiety, and increase resilience. This understanding of the nervous system allows us to build a strong foundation for emotional regulation, greater clarity, and a sense of deep, embodied well-being.
In addition to working with the body and the nervous system, I’ll also support you in navigating the fluctuations of the mind. Having personally experienced the challenges that the mind can present—ranging from racing thoughts and self-doubt to emotional overwhelm—I understand how difficult it can be to feel at peace within your own mind. My goal is to empower you to approach these mental challenges with awareness, compassion, and acceptance. Rather than working against your thoughts, we will explore how to work with them, to transform the way you relate to your inner world. Through mindfulness and conscious awareness, we can cultivate a more harmonious relationship with your thoughts, emotions, and mental patterns.
Together, we’ll draw on these three essential approaches—nervous system awareness, trauma support, and mental clarity—to create a powerful, holistic pathway for self-discovery and healing. I will help you nurture life’s ever-changing shifts with patience and understanding, empowering you to take each step toward evolution, one moment at a time. This journey is not about perfection, but about progress, growth, and learning how to show up for yourself with kindness, resilience, and an open heart. With each practice, we will work toward restoring a sense of balance, inner peace, and a deeper connection to your true self.
Testimonials
“I started going to Krystal after I was in an horse accident which led to chronic pain. I had discussed my symptoms and concerns on what I wanted to work on..she made a plan that really was easy to implement into my daily routines such as breath-work, stretches and little tools to be able to calm your nervous system down. That I still use everyday! Her easy going nature made it the perfect place to really learn to relax and let go of the stress my body was holding. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Krystal is incredible. I’ve never felt more safe, relaxed and at peace with myself and the world than I do in her classes. I’m a person in a larger body and Krystal makes every move accessible and leads her practice without any judgement. Her restorative yin and yoga nidra classes are the highlight of my week and have changed my perspective and appreciation for meditation. I wish I could learn from her 7 days a week. Krystal, thank you for all you do. You are truly changing lives.”

“I went to see Krystal for yoga therapy and the experience was very therapeutic. I learned a lot about my body and how to heal it through the practice of yoga. Krystal's presence is very calming and she made me feel very comfortable. She taught me many practices that I can use in my day to day life to help with my body, mind and soul. I have learned a lot about myself and grown a lot with her guidance and I am so grateful to be able to work with her. Highly recommend her to anyone struggling with anything both physically or emotionally.”

Depending on how you show up for the session, we can explore various assessment techniques to ensure that we align with what will be most beneficial for you moving forward. The assessments I regularly use include:
- Physical assessment: To observe how you are holding your body in space and identify which poses or movements may be most effective for your needs.
- Energetic assessment: Focusing on the chakra centers to understand your energy flow and any imbalances that may need attention.
- Pain assessment: To gain insight into any areas of discomfort or tension in your body, helping us tailor the practice to address these concerns.
- Elemental assessment: To determine which of the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether) is most present or out of balance in your life, guiding us to re-establish harmony.
These are just a few of the tools I use to create a personalized and effective approach, ensuring that your session is tailored to your unique needs and goals.

You will receive a confirmation email along with a policy form that needs to be signed before we proceed with the next steps. Once the policy form is acknowledged and signed, you will then receive an "Initial Intake" document. This intake helps me understand where you are in your life, though I will always be flexible and meet you where you are on the day of our session, should anything change. Once the intake form is completed, we’re all set to go! You will also receive both text and email reminders before our scheduled meeting.

I hear this question all the time! Since yoga therapy is still a relatively new form of healing and not everyone fully understands its depth, I’ve created a dedicated page to highlight the differences. You can find this information under the "Yoga Therapy" section (if you haven’t already).

Unfortunately, they are not covered at this time. However, coverage may be applicable in the case of a car accident or if you are working with WorkSafeBC, as these situations involve working toward maximum health. This is something you would need to look into personally.
